už jsme zjistili, že sloveso být má nepravidelné tvary, které je třeba se naučit
v minulém čase se vyskytují dva tvary: WAS/WERE
tvar WAS - 1. os. j.č. + 3. os.j.č.
tvar WERE - všechny ostatní osoby

I was (já jsem byl) we were (my jsme byli)

you were (ty jsi byl) you were (vy jste byli)

he was (on byl) they were (oni byli)

she was (ona byla)

it was (ono bylo)

Oznamovací věta:

I was at home.

You were at school.

They were at grandma's.

Otázka:

Were you at school?

Was dad at work?

Were they at grandmas?
